Numerous lenders are available in the Indian market, and when considering education loans for studying abroad, opting for public sector banks seems to be a smarter choice. Public sector banks offer advantages that go beyond what other lenders provide, including lower interest rates, higher loan amounts, minimal or no upfront payments, and more. This type of loan is specifically tailored to cover expenses such as tuition fees, accommodation, books, and other related costs. Unlike regular loans, education loans often come with more flexible repayment terms, including deferred payment options until the completion of the education program.

Borrowers, usually students or their parents, can secure an education loan from various financial institutions, including banks and private lenders. The funds obtained through an education loan aim to ease the financial burden associated with educational pursuits, making it feasible for individuals to invest in their academic and professional development.

Margin money requirements vary, with 15% for loans between INR 7.5 Lakhs and INR 20 Lakhs, and 10% for amounts exceeding INR 20 Lakhs.

Property evaluation charges, approximately INR 7,500, apply, and may be subject to changes based on location and property specifics. The moratorium period encompasses the course duration plus an additional 6 months, offering financial flexibility for borrowers.
