The spin-to-win Whirlwind Barbarian is undoubtedly the top pick in Diablo 4 Season 4. This build is designed for players who want to blast through Level 100 with ruthless ferocity and sheer determination. Get ready for some Diablo 4 Gold, and then let’s jump right in!
Build Overview
The core of the build is utilizing the Whirlwind skill. To make the build as easy as possible, it also runs 3x shout, as they can be used while spinning. When combined with cooldown reduction on both helmet and amulet, along with the Bold Chieftain’s Aspect, we can reduce the cooldown of Wrath of the Berserker than low as possible for maximum DPS.
The build also includes Charge, which enables us to swiftly replenish our Fury whenever it depletes, while also providing a permanent 40% increase in damage through the Tibault’s Will.
We opt for dual-wielding in this setup to maximize the benefits of Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus. This strategic choice allows us to accumulate significant damage by maximizing our Fury levels.
Gear Setup
Let’s dive straight into the Diablo 4 Items that make this build work. First, we have to choose the Harlequin Crest. Additionally, you can simply grab the Tuskhelm of Joritz.
For the chest, we definitely want to create a defensive chest where total armor and max health are the most important. Using armor with the Juggernaut’s Aspect will easily get you to the armor cap off around 14,000.
For gloves, what you actually want are crit chance and strength. As for the aspect, we want to use Aspect of Berserk Ripping for some extra damage over time. The Gohr’s Devastating Grips can also be used if you find a pair with decent rolls on it.
As for pants, as I mentioned before, we’re using Tibault’s Will. Try to find a pair with high rolled aspect and high roll in the maximum resource stat.
With boots, this is where you throw out all the drag and movement speed roll. You can give up fire resistance in favor of increased movement speed after killing an elite, as it allows you to hit the movement speed cap while spinning.
Now let’s check out the weapons. As we’ll be running near 100% crit chance in this build, we want as much crit damage as possible. For this Penitent Hammer, we’ll be using the Aspect of the Dire Whirlwind for that crit chance.
For the dual wield weapons, you’re going to be using swords for the crit damage and use Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus in one hand to use 2 one-handers. However, you’ll have to grab another sword with Aspect of Elements on it. For the last weapon, you’ll need a two-handed sword. You can simply use an Edgemaster’s Aspect.
For the amulet, the one with Aspect of Limitless Rage to prioritize is movement speed and cooldown reduction. For the other stats, you can either go with damage or defensives.
As for the ring, you can use the Aspect of Ancestral Charge to make it easier to reset our charge ability and also Bold Chieftain’s Aspect to reset the cooldown of our shouts. If you buy Diablo 4 Gold in advance, you have the option to select alternative gear.
Seneschal Construct
For the first stone, we’re opting for the Tempest because of its high attack speed. To address any Fury regeneration issues, we’re employing resource support, followed by Safeguard, to ensure survival.
If you possess Evernight, consider utilizing Efficiency Support to push your crit chance to 100%. We incorporate Flash of Adrenaline. Duration and Tactical Supports are applied to extend its duration, and Fortify Support serves as our primary source of Fortify.
If you have Genesis, it’s advisable to replace Safeguard with Fortify Support. Seneschal Stone Leveling is also crucial for this Whirlwind Barbarian build in Diablo 4.
Skill Tree
The core skills of this build are what we’re after: Max out Whirlwind and grab Enhanced and Violent Whirlwind for more Fury regeneration and more damage. 3 points in Imposing Presence and Martial Vigor for maximum defense, and then Rallying Cry along with Enhanced and Tactical Rallying Cry for some easy Unstoppable and free Fury.
We’re also picking up Outburst and Tough as Nails as this will be our major source of infecting enemies with bleeds, and we need bleed damage for our paragon board. We also have Challenging Shout along with Enhanced Challenging Shout for both defensives and a way to reset our cooldowns.
In the Brawling Skills, we start by picking up War Cry for DPS. We also grab Enhanced and Power War Cry for berserking and damage. Booming Voice increases the duration of our shouts. We have Charge along with Enhanced and Power Charge so we get some Unstoppable. Charge also grants us berserking via Battle Fervor.
Then, we head on over to the ultimate skills and pick up Wrath of the Berserker and Tempered Fury for more damage. Invigorating Fury also keeps us alive, granting us huge amounts of self-healing. You definitely want to use the Unbridled Rage passive if you want to just hold down Whirlwind constantly. However, you can also use Unconstrained.
Paragon Board
On the starting board of this is also crucial for this Whirlwind Barbarian build in Diablo 4 Season 4, you can use the Marshall glyph, as this is how our shouts reset our cooldowns.
Then head on over to the Warbringer Board. Not only does this provide huge scaling for crit damage, but it also allows us to keep spinning without running out of Fury. On this board, we also have some Maximum Fury for damage and fire resistance.
After that, we go to the Blood Rage Board. This legendary node is extremely important as it transforms our damage while berserking into multiplicative damage. We also socket Exploit as our main source of vulnerability.
Next, head to the Carnage Board, as we can get a whopping 75 strength from the Ire glyph.
For the last board, the Decimator Board, grab the legendary node for some extra damage and socket the Territorial glyph for both damage reduction and damage to close enemies.
